You can find dimensional information on Our Container page.
We need about 7 linear feet to deliver a 20-foot container and 120 linear feet to deliver a 40-foot container. We will also need a 12-foot wide clearance and 14-16 feet high clearance for tipping the container off.
The location where the container will sit needs to be level. You can either put down concrete or gravel, railroad ties, or concrete blocks capable of supporting the container’s weight. The critical point is to keep the container level so that the doors will line up and close properly. If you have questions, please get in touch with us.
Shipping containers are built from Corten steel, also known as “weathering” steel. Corten steel is a rust-resistant alloy that is usually combined with rust-resistant paint designed to withstand harsh weather.
Most shipping containers have a floor of marine-grade plywood that is 1-1/8″ thick. Some containers use bamboo flooring, which is more sustainable. Underneath the flooring are steel cross beams for support.
